WHAT IS THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?

~ A private, non-profit taxpaying corporation composed of committee workers, directors and officers who serve without pay. The Executive Director is the only paid employee.

~ A voluntary organization of the business community that unites hundreds of business and professional firms, thus creating a unique central agency working to improve business and build a better community.

~ A voluntary organization of citizens who are investing their time and money in a community development program working together to improve the economic, civic and cultural well being of the area.

~ A medium through which people can take effective action for the progress of the community. It helps create job opportunities through stimulation of industrial and commercial growth, for established and new firms.

~ A proven organization committed to helping solve today's community and business problems.

~ People..people just like you. People who realize that through the Chamber they can accomplish collectively what no one of them can do individually. The strength of the chamber lies in attracting the greatest number of members, creating a pool of resources from which can be drawn ideas, energy and finances.

The Chamber Is NOT:

~ A civic club, charitable organization or department of city government.

~ A just another organization to join. The Chamber is unique in that is is a partner to every business and citizen. You benefit from Chamber activities as long as you do bushiness in the community.
